Ryan Farrell
Owner & General Manager
Team Member Since 2009Ryan started at Wendell’s Furniture delivering furniture during the summers while on break from college. He then became a teacher through the Teach For America program in both Baltimore and Philadelphia. At Wendell’s full time since 2009, Ryan has worn nearly every hat there is in the business, although he likes to say, 'I’m not very good at any of them! That’s why I hired people who were!' His favorite part working at Wendell’s is scheduling deliveries because it allows him the opportunity to 'make so many new friends.' After more than a decade of working for his dad, Wendell, Ryan and his cousin Joe Dunlavey, bought the store in 2022.

Joe Dunlavey
Owner & Sales Manager
Team Member Since 2009Joe started in our St. Albans locations and helped Wendell’s build a great reputation in his native Franklin County. He excels at building a successful team, whether at Wendell’s or coaching basketball in Sheldon, his home town. Joe is great at listening quietly and then asking the right questions to help a customer find the “one”. Although he loves upholstery, Joe’s first love in furniture will always be mattresses because they can help to dramatically improve a customer’s 'whole outlook on life.' After more than a decade of working for Wendell, Joe and his cousin Ryan Farrell, bought the store in 2022.

Linda Boudreau
Senior Sales Associate
Team Member Since 2010Joe hired Linda to work at the Lake Street, St. Albans store and she has been a key member of his team ever since. A native of Pennsylvania, she has been in Vermont most of her life and has set down strong roots here. She loves helping customers mix and match to find the perfect combination. With Linda’s help, customers often discover exactly what their true style can look like. Her coworkers consider her a Flexsteel Specialist because she has been selling the line for so long. She is beloved by our entire staff.

Liz Conforti

Team Member Since 2017Ryan and Joe hired Liz because she has a palpable joy that comes out in everything she does. They both knew that customers would love her, and they were right! Liz has never lost her Brooklyn accent, despite having traveled the country and having been in Vermont for years. She has a natural sense of color and fashion that she uses to help customers find the perfect Flexsteel or Smith Brothers living room furniture. Her laugh is often heard across the sales floor, helping to make Wendell’s a fun place to work and shop. When asked what her favorite part of working at Wendell’s Furniture is, she says 'You crazy guys and all of our laughter.'

Phil Mount
Senior Sales Associate & A/P Manager
Team Member Since 2014Phil walked into our store a few years ago with a huge smile and a great attitude. And he has been with us ever since! He works sales on Saturdays but can be found at the front desk during weekdays, answering phones and greeting customers, directing them to the chocolate. Phil works with customers to understand their needs and then works to show them options and helps them make the choice. Says Phil, the best part of being on the Wendell’s Team, 'getting to meet a ton of new people every day.'

Connor McKenna

Team Member Since 2019The whole Wendell’s family has loved Connor since the very beginning. Always found with a smile on his face, Connor can find the funny in nearly any situation. Connor started on our delivery team where his size and creative thinking were a major asset (If anyone could get a sofa into a third-floor apartment in Burlington, Connor is the guy). Recently he moved over to our sales team where his people skills are a major asset. Connor’s laugh can be heard around the showroom, but more often than not, his customers are laughing right along too! Alex Duval

Team Member Since 2017When Alex first started at Wendell’s Furniture, he commuted 90 minutes one way! His dedication to his job has not waned since. A transplant to Vermont, Alex continues to surprise and delight his customers and coworkers with new facets of his personality. Wood worker, classical musician and now a stand up comedian, Alex continues to surprise. He constantly grows his furniture knowledge, because 'You never know what a customer is going to ask!' Although a huge asset across our entire product line, Alex specializes in lift chairs, helping customers with mobility issues regain some of their independence. Says Alex, 'I really love helping my customers find exactly what they were looking for.'

Zach Tandy
Sales Associate
Team Member Since 2014If there was an award for best, all-around team member, Zach would be a shoe in. He started on our warehouse and delivery team seemingly a lifetime ago. He was so good at making customers happy so that when a position opened on the sales team, he was the natural choice. Zach has a good head on his shoulders, which helps him find unique solutions to unique customer problems. From mattresses to bed frames and living room furniture, Zach handles it all with aplomb. He enjoys meeting new customers but also loves discovering when he has delivered to the homes of our many returning customers. He has a wicked good memory for product knowledge, especially mattresses. If you're looking for a salesperson with answers to your questions, Zach is the right guy!
